When I say this elopement in Youngsville, New Mexico, was straight out of a dream, I’m not exaggerating. Picture this: a cozy Airbnb, the sweetest group of family and friends, a jaw-dropping lake, and a couple so madly in love you could feel it in the air. Cozy Vibes and Big Love in Youngsville
The day kicked off at the most charming Airbnb tucked away in Youngsville. Think southwest meets modern comfort—the perfect spot for an intimate celebration. Surrounded by their closest crew, this couple exchanged vows that had everyone (including me!) reaching for tissues. It was pure, raw, heartfelt magic.
After the ceremony, the good vibes kept rolling. We went out back & took the sweetest portraits. Next, they celebrated with a delicious dinner that was all homemade & felt more like a family gathering than a formal affair. And let’s talk about the cake, made by the bride’s sister—it was almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Add in laughter, happy tears, and hugs all around, and you’ve got the kind of atmosphere you never want to leave.
Spontaneous Adventures at Abiquiu Lake
But wait—it gets better! Just when we thought the day couldn’t be more epic, we jumped into the cars and literally sped over to Abiquiu Lake for some jaw-dropping sunset portraits. Let me tell you, the bride’s dad & I were racing the sunset to get to the perfect spot for these photos. I barely threw my truck in park before jumping out because of how fast that sun was leaving us. But we got there just in time!! Lets just say they were down for an adventure. They climbed rocks, we laughed in the golden hour light, and it gave me every reason to believe I have the best job in the world.
The lake was serving views for days, with its sparkling water and dramatic rocks setting the perfect stage. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky turned into a masterpiece, and these two looked like they were straight out of a movie. Seriously, the photos from this part of the day are going to be framed for generations to come—guaranteed.
